A few months ago, I discovered the first good book I’d read in several years, and I became obsessed. And when I say “obsessed,” I mean that I sat at red lights thinking, “maybe I can read just one short paragraph really, really quickly before the light turns green.”
Don’t worry, though — I didn’t read at red lights. I like reading, but I like staying alive and driving safely and not getting tickets more.
Isn’t it great when you find an awesome new book? A story that makes you fall head over heels, tempts you to read at red lights, and completely submerges you in a different world? Your book soulmate? In the last year, the number of Americans who listen to podcasts in the car increased from 19 to 23 percent. That’s nearly a quarter of the population! This is shown even more when considering that mobile devices alone are responsible for streaming 69 percent of podcasts.
